The first lightly peated expression from master blender Ken Usami begins with pure malted barley. Deep peat complexity further enlivens the influence of crisp Niigata snowmelt and the Shinobu warrior spirit. After time in ex-bourbon and ex-sherry casks, prized Mizunara Oak finishes to perfection. Expect minty, lemony aromas and a surprising saltiness to the palate, with lingering tastes of oak and wood. A quintessential smokiness meets malty sweetness for a smooth and invigorating experience throughout.
